Become a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (Tax Preparer)!
Help make a real difference this tax season by providing free tax preparation assistance to individuals and families in our community. Every dollar saved helps those who need it most, and your time can have a big impact!
When: Tuesdays, 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Dates: February 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 (8 total Tuesdays)
Where: Cadence Bank Downtown, 301 East Main St, Jackson, TN 38301
Volunteer Requirements:
- Complete self-paced online and virtual training before volunteering
- Commit to at least 4 of the 8 weeks

Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic tax returns Validate taxpayer information
- Review and explain returns with clients
- Offer guidance based on each individual’s situation
