Who We Are
Stronger Together
United Way of West Tennessee is a nonprofit organization with an 80-year history of building a United and resilient community in 15 counties across West Tennessee. We empower communities by connecting people in need with those who have the resources to help, thus, Uniting both givers and resources in the areas of health, education, financial stability, and equity.
Each year, we help raise funds through company campaigns on behalf of local service-based agencies (nonprofits) — a vital role we play so they can focus on what they do best: serving their communities. But fundraising is not the only area we service. We also coordinate with these nonprofits and the community at large to provide multi-faceted support for people in all stages of life. In essence, we forge partnerships with those who are already addressing the needs in our community. This collaboration helps prevent duplication of services and increases county-specific access to crucial resources.
United Way's history is filled with countless stories of tragedy transformed into victory, and we aim to continue this narrative moving forward. But our work would not be possible without the collective contribution of others. Whether you are a financial giver, volunteer, or advocate, your support matters. We invite you to join to LIVE UNITED with us as we continue to build a more resilient West Tennessee.
Sincerely,
Matt Marshall, President/CEO of United Way of West Tennessee
