Pack the Bus is a fundraiser and food drive that directly benefits the Snack Backpack ministry. Last year during Pack the Bus we collected 15,000 pounds of food! This year's event will take place on Saturday, August 3, and we need your help! We need people stationed at each store to greet customers, hand them the Snack Backpack shopping lists, and collect monetary donations.
We will be at the following 5 grocery stores:
Walmart North
Walmart South
Kroger Stonebrook
Kroger University
Sam's Club* NEW THIS YEAR!
The shifts at each location are as follows:
8:30 AM-11:00 AM
10:45 AM-1:30 PM
1:15 PM-4:00 PM (Each site will begin packing up at 3:30 to prepare for the buses to head to RIFA)
We also need help unloading the buses once they come back to RIFA starting at 4:00 PM. The more people we have helping us with this, the faster the process goes! (Please be aware that the unloading is a very physical job, so be mindful of that as you think about your sign up.)
